The Ends of the Earth
Written by acclaimed Canadian playwright Morris Panych, this absurdist play follows the journeys of two seemingly innocuous men, Frank Gardener and Henry Walker, who try to avoid one another because they think the other is following them with malicious intentions. Ironically, their efforts to get as far away as they can from one another lead them to arrive at the same desolate inn called The End of the Earth with no way to escape.
I had the incredible and challenging experience of playing Frank Gardener, a paranoid and eccentric man whose ultimate desire in life is to be normal and unnoticeable. Ironically, the extents to which he goes to achieve this normalcy makes him stand out from the crowd. This is the first published play in which I was cast as a lead, and I am grateful for the opportunity. The show was produced by 5th Company Lane Productions, and directed by Queen’s Drama alum Luke Brown.

“While it may have been slightly ambitious to take on a complex text, the acting and strong aesthetic choices made the show both entertaining and thoughtful.”
